General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a series of changes to the way that data is captured, used and managed for everyone in the EU. The purpose of this regulation is to give everyone better control of the data that can be captured and used about them. Any person you hold information on has the right to request you erase their data. So if an individual asks you to remove their data from your systems, you have to do so.
When does it come into effect?
25th May 2018 all UK companies are getting their reports and assessments in order.
Who will this affect?
To trade and keep your dogs happy we ask you to enter data for your orders on www.staglers.co.uk and then keep you up to date with offers or news via our marketing or business communications. If you have an inkling that’s you, you’ll need to review your processes and ensure they’re compliant by the deadline. So what are we doing to be GD
1. Forms: Active opt-in
Our Contact Us forms on our websites being prepared, which will invite our visitors to subscribe to newsletters or indicate their contact preferences.
In addition to the above, we need to clearly set out the options separately and in plain English. For example, the acceptance of our terms and conditions needs to be clearly separated from our contact permissions. It needs to be totally unambiguous what action you are taking by selecting these options.
3. Make it easy to withdraw consent
It is going to be as easy to withdraw your permission should your circumstances change and you just say no. How? Simple. Just send us a

We have ensured our third parties all have adequate protections in place to protect your data. (WordPress/Web designer Seemore Graphics/Mailchimp/Reviews/Google/Paypal etc)

Your data is used to process orders, market to you and communicate with you by email etc. We are collecting your data by sign up or when you choose to make a purchase on www.staglers.co.uk or you choose to contact us. i.e Facebook for social media)

As an e-commerce businesses, using a payment gateway for financial transactions, we are aware of our own website collects personal data before passing the details onto the payment gateway.
Our website stores and records the personal details after the information has been passed on, we will then remove remove any personal information after 7 years.

We use Google Analytics to track user behaviour. Luckily, it’s always been an anonymous tracking system — there’s no “personal data” being collected. Nevertheless, Google has stated their commitment to complying with applicable data protection laws. 10. Assessing our existing data
We have a good understanding and documented record of the data you hold. We are asking for your express permission on email and marketing and you will be removed if you do not sign in. This will give us a clean slate moving forward for all marketing.

Staglers has HTTPS to send data over an encrypted connection It has SSL certificate. Our CMS provider has also addressed this.
