Biscuit’s Blog – I am Biscuit the Border and I want to Blog! Here is my favourite, tasty Stagler Lazy Dog Chew. Throughout our journey from thought to jaw, Biscuit has encouraged us all of the way.
Note from John – From the first day he tried to pick up a whole antler, to the day we produced our first cut antler which became a Stagler Lazy Dog Chew, Biscuit has been our biggest fan. When we are out walking, collecting the antlers he has fun and when we are labelling each, individual dog chew, he sits patiently waiting for a new one, then goes off to find his original current chew, settles down and never offers to help with the labelling!
Our Stagler Lazy Dog Chew brand, and the passion behind bringing to you an ethical, natural, clean product, will become clear as our reputation grows. As part of the family friendly feel we will bring you stories and experiences of this little family friend. Once our Facebook page is up and running, he will be posting!
Who Am I? I am a good-natured dog with a sharp gaze and I like to play hard and love my humans harder. I love my active family and am called a cheeky boy by the children of the house. I am inquisitive and always on the lookout – must be my hunting instinct!
Border Terrier Facts: I am a small, rough-coated breed of dog of the terrier group. Originally bred as vermin hunters, Border Terriers share ancestry with Dandie Dinmont Terriers and Bedlington Terriers.
Though the breed is much older, the Border Terrier was officially recognized by The Kennel Club in Great Britain in 1920, and by the American Kennel Club (AKC) in 1930. The border terrier was bred to have long enough legs to keep up with the horses and other foxhounds, which travelled with them, and small enough bodies to crawl in the burrows of foxes and chase them out so the hunters had a clear shot. The foxhounds that travelled with them were not small enough to do the Border terrier’s job.

We went to the Kingston Maurward Open Day Event on Sunday. Wow what fun for me! I saw lots of dogs, in all shapes and sizes. My children owners both took me in a dog show class for the first time & I was very good. Most Handsome Dog was won by a handsome black Labrador and the Dog the Judge wanted to take home was not me 🙁
Although I know, I also understand and I am glad I didn’t win.
The high light of my day was TERRIER RACING. First time at that too. Oh My Goodness, I loved it! When I saw the older dogs do it I wanted to GO…….When it was my turn I was straight on to that teaser on the end of the rope, fast or what? I met some quick dogs too. When is the next time please mum and dad?
